Peter Frank is our first German Moab Master. Based in Dusseldorf, Frank studied the art of painting at FH Cologne. He discovered his talent for pictures and composition and nurtured it by studying photography at the University of Bielefeld. After finishing his studies, he started working as a professional freelance photographer for international advertising agencies – never losing touch with the artistic roots of his career.
When visiting Johannesburg and Cape Town in 1999 during a photo shoot, Peter Franks enthusiasm for South Africa emerged in a flash. Frank, by the time known as a successful commercial photographer in Europe, continued visiting the previously unknown country – and kept doing so for the past twelve years.
