Printing with Epson Printers
There are two profiles for Entrada, which one do I select?
We offer two different Entrada Rag Bright and Entrada Rag Natural profiles for most Epson printers to streamline the paper loading and printing process. Either profile works for any weight of Entrada (190, 290, 300)- which one you use depends on how you prefer to load paper in the printer.
For sheets smaller than 8.5x11, you must use the sheet feeder, not the fine art manual feed. When using the sheet feeder, select the profile using Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte as the media type. Using the sheet feeder also allows you to load more than one sheet at a time, though it may be unreliable feeding a stack of 300gsm sheets.
For Entrada 300 sheets larger than 8.5x11, we recommend using the fine art/manual feed paper path, as it is optimized for thicker paper, and should be more reliable than the sheet feeder. In this case, select the profile using a fine art media setting (watercolor radiant white, ultrasmooth fine art, or velvet fine art- the recommendation will vary by printer). By selecting a fine art media in the print settings, it sets the appropriate head height and print speed for thicker sheets.
If you are using roll paper, we always recommend selecting the fine art media setting and associated profile.
The Fine Art media settings are grayed out and unavailable in Print Settings, what do I do?
The workflow to unlock the fine art media settings depends on which model of Epson printer you own.
