The gift that keeps on giving
As we round the corner into holiday chaos we thought we'd make one decision easier for you during this festive season: There's a Moab Paper for every type of photographer (and image). We'd like to think Moab is on your year-round list of photo gear, but we found a few independent voices to present their faves.
Slickrock Metallic Pearl is one of our most popular papers that makes all types of prints shine, but it seems that B&W photographers have a special place in their hearts for Slickrock. PDN published this article last month.
Lasal Dual Semigloss is the newest paper in the Moab family, and Rangefinder Magazine included it on its annual Buyer's Guide. The article also features a 'Specialty Paper' section, which includes Moenkopi Washi and Entrada Rag.
Photo Techniques magazine also did a double-take (sorry, couldn't resist) and included Lasal Dual Semigloss in the December Gear App article.
Digital Photo Pro lists five Moab papers in their 2013 Pro Buyer's Guide, including the Lasal Exhibition Luster, which is an ideal paper for gallery and exhibition prints.
The hit at PhotoPlus Expo
Another year, another (exceptional) PhotoPlus. Fresh off the heels of the Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 launch at Photokina in Germany, we presented the new paper to the US market. And the response was phenomenal.
We depleted our pile of sample packs in the first day, so if you didn't receive one email us (with your address) so we can send a kit to you.
Moab Masters Barbara Bordnick, Jim Graham, Jody Dole and Christian LaLonde loaned us images they printed on the Lasal Dual Semigloss, making the paper shine.
Michael Zide printed around 50 of his B&W images in a custom13x19 portfolio on the paper. The paper is truly fingerprint resistant: The book still looked beautiful after three days with hundreds of people flipping through the pages.
Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 is now available in the US.
Introducing Lasal Dual Semigloss 330
Today at Photokina we announced the newest paper to the Moab family: Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 - a heavyweight, double-sided fine art paper utilizing state-of-the-art coating technology.
The first heavyweight 330gsm dual-sided inkjet paper in its class, Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 features the latest in coating technology to produce ultra-consistent image reproduction with instant dry-time. The new coating allows prints to be handled immediately without fingerprints or scuffing making the paper ideal for portfolios and limited edition books where the prints encounter frequent handling.
The new Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 continues to expand Moab's wide range of double-sided fine art media and was developed for those seeking extremely wide color gamut on a two-sided sheet. Given that the paper will be utilized in albums and portfolios, the paper will be offered in the 11x14 format to better accommodate the print standard established by the photography and presentation industry.
Lasal Dual Semigloss 330 is available in 8.5x11, 11x14, 13x19 and A4 sheets packaged in quantities of 25.
